Welcome to Transactionland - we’re open for a bit of browsing and a spot of shoplifting from Wednesday ‘til Sunday for two weeks only, alongside a packed programme of events and workshops. Most events are free or pay what you can. We’d love to see you.

Transactionland is a response to a collective fear of talking about the economy - both ‘The Economy’, and the many other economies small and large we interact with every day. It aims to be a brave space for exploring alternatives and having some irreverent fun with Very Serious Stuff. 

Transactionland takes a firmly No Stupid Questions approach. This is a DIT (do it together) space. We are not experts. 

Please remember that this is all an experiment. Ask questions, be patient, let us know what you think, move the furniture around - it’s on wheels!,

How to use this shop:

• Exercise your purchasing power by buying/swapping/haggling for/talking your way into something from our Transactionland product line. 

• 12.30-1.30pm is doughnut hour! Join us to eat doughnuts and learn about doughnut economics.

• 5pm every day: it’s Shoplift-o-clock! Attempt to sneak something into your pockets without being caught by our eagle-eyed shopkeepers.

• Chill out in our gambling den, have a Big Economics Chat with a stranger (we’re all learning together) screenprint your own carrier bag, buy a share in communal bicycle, hang out, read, scratch a scratchcard. That kind of thing.
